October Recap

Good morning Pastor Pancho, and our family in Christ,

We left of with CCM (Oct 17-19th) as they left back home we received on the 19th CC Grass Valley.  An adult  w/ family group with 14 in all.  This group brought down dental equipment to install in one of our children ministry room.  A brother from their church had a dentist office and so he donated all the equipment to LP so that when Dentist doctors come down, they have the right equipment to work with.  So we were blessed to have them install this equipment which also included the compressor, dentistry vacum, cabinets with sink. This took them around 4 days to install everything.  They worked hard.
CCGass Valley also did an outreach here close to LP, at a local basketball court.  We had games for the children, balloons, face painting, puppet show, worship, and one brother fixed the swings for that court so the children were really happy that they were able to use the swings again.

The group also went to visit an orpahange in La Gloria where the group played different games, loved on them, fed them, did a bible study, worship with them and even cut their hair!

CC Grass Valley left on Friday the 24th and we got ready for the big event (Womens retreat) with C. C Moreno Valley.  As every year we are blessed to have this group come down and do their womens retreat in Spanish for the ladies in Mexico which included Rosarito, San Vicente etc.  This year we had a smaller group of around 70-80 ladies. Some slept here at LP and we took a bus full to sleep at the womens shelter.
This year's theme was in Psalms 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God".

All of us ladies were not only blessed with the delicious food that was served, the fellowship with the ladies, but most importantly, the word of God, giving all of us ladies a reminder that God  our refuge and strength and we just need to be still and know that and the theme was such a perfect timing especially in the difficult time that we are doing through in Mexico and we needed to be strengthened and reminded of this. There was also a time of prayer and counseling as well as crafts for the ladies. The ladies left in such a different spirit as when they all came down.  More encouraged and strengthen and in love with Jesus. What a blessing.

After CC Moreno Valley we had CC Childrens Ministry come over for a one day turn around trip.  Now as you all know Victor and I were not here, but we did hear that their trip was a blessing. They went to visit the children at the orphanage Tribe of Jesus.  They fed them, played games and baseball with them, did a puppet show,  crafts, worship and a bible study.  They stood here from 11:00 - 5:00pm an all day visit with the children.
After the group went to go eat tacos and they returned back home to CCM.

God bless you all!

Novemeber 14th-21st, 2008

Hola everyone and blessings to you.
I was happy to have CCM Adults group come down on Saturday, November 15th and leave on Sunday the 16th.  When they arrived we headed out to an orphnage in the canon of Zion in Tijuana.
CCM has adopted this orphange for Christmas so the group played with the children as some got information from them regarding the favorite color, toy, etc.  Also one sister took pictures of every child and Stephanie made sure each child had the information they needed for a desired gift. After the group started cooking hamburgers and we  served them lunch. After lunch the group did a small skit and bible story and a craft that went along with the bible story.  The chldren enjoyed the crafts which were cross key chains.
Below is Alex from the orphnage. He is a special needs child.  He is 12 years old and he had down syndrome.  He is adorable, sweet, lovable and so speical to me.  I praise God when I can spend time with him and the other children.

We left late from the orphanage and took the group to tacos at La Gloria where we all enjoyed ourselves with tacos and ice cream.  Back at La Posada we had a time of worship, devotions and a time of sharing.  It was a blessing to meet the new commers and new faces.  We had a wonderful time.
On Sunday the group stood for bible studies and they were a blessing as they participated.  Always a blessing to have our home church come down to serve. Victor, on the other hand had left, to Vizcaino on Friday, November 14th and came back 21st.  He took a group of 11 to do a missions trip and to visit the other missionaries down there (Tacho, wife, kids, Gary and Keri, and the churches in the areas). Victor took the group to visit 5 different areas where they did outreaches and on each place that they visited they needed to sleep over because these places are not close to each other.
One of these places was a Island called Natividad.  To get to this island they need to take 3 boats and there they did a outeach and Victor did the bible study for the local Christian church.  They fed the people hot dogs which for them is like lobsters for us because they do not get alot of meat over to the island.  So they mostly eat fish and lobsters and when the group brought down hot dogs the people where so happy and blessed that they were going to eat these hot dogs. Wow! The little food that we take for granted.

Baiha Tortuga was also another place where they went to minister to, encourageing the local Christian Pastors and the body of Christ and also doing an outreach for the local people in that area.  After the outeach we all went to the Pastor Eber's house and they cooked us fish.  We had a wonderful time of fellowship.
The group also went to the sea of Cortez to a place called San Bruno.  Here they also did an outreach where there was about 300+ came to this event. We were blessed that at this town Biaha Tortugo, the local police department let us use the City Hall park to do this outreach event and alot of the police officers were attentive to see what we were doing and also we were blessed they got to hear God's word.  The last time anyone has done an outreach at this town was 2 years ago.

Here we are doing our morning devotions at the church in San Bruno and After the outreach the Pastor invited us to his house where we cooked hamburgers that we brought down and again they were so happy to eat hamburgers because they have not eaten them for about 1 year, so this was a big treat for them. Here we are in front of the church.
Here is a place called San Ignacio where we took a picture next to the lake.  We were headed out to Punta Abre ojos (a place where there are cabins next to the beach) where we stood there for a day and a half. We had fellowship with some brothers/sisters from Vizcaino. We had a time of fellowship, devotions, worship and food. A blessed time.

We got back home to LP on Friday.  Every place that we went, the churches and pastors opened their homes to us and had food ready for us to eat and partake with them. The hospitality  and love that they demostrated was overwelhming.  It was a blessing!!!

CC Montebello & CC East Anaheim

Hello Everyone!
We pray that everyone is well and blessed. Here is the update on what has been happing here at LP.

We start of with our home church (CCM) coming down with the adult group and taking them to an orphanage to spend time with the kids, feed them, make crafts and love the children.

The children from the orphanage had a wonderful time with our church, but I know that our church were more blessed in being able to spend time with these precious children.

After spending time with the chidlren at the orphanage we all headed out to do an outreach at the Colonia Los Volcanes.  The group prepared a bible study, crafts and games for the chidlren. We also had a group called "Efesis" who came down and played worship for us. They are a Christian group fro Tijuana who come down and love to serve our Lord.  Everyone really enjoyed the music. After the wonderful worship and a awsome message that one of the brothers from our church did,  we fed all of the people.  We made sandwiches for everyone, chips and drinks.

We were also blessed with our church because they stood until Sunday after church service and so we had more Fellowship with them.

After having our group come down, we were also blessed to have Calvary Chapel Anaheim-Korean church over for the weekend 26-28th of September.  They did an outreach event in Ensenada with their group of 25.

We then had CC East Anaheim over for the next weekend of October 3-5th, a group of 35 people.  We took them to do an outreach at Colonia Morelos, at a local basketball court. We had a wonderful turn out of probably 200 adults with children.  The group  did a puppet show, crafts, played soccar ball and we again invited the worship group "Efesis" who blessed us with wonderful worship.

The next day we invited the group to stay for service and communion, which they did.  After the service we had a potluck and we had wonderful fellowship. They left around 2:00pm on Sunday.

October 5-8, Victor went with some of the brothers from CCPasadena and LP to Vizcaino for the Pastor/Leaders Conference that Pastor Bill Weldon (Cornerstone, Napa) does every year.

The Pastors that participated in this year's conference was: Cornerstone,  CC Pomona Valley, CC Santee, CC La Semilla, Genesis Upland,  CC Oregon, and CC Shingle Spring and CC Aptos.

I was blessed to be able to take a couple of trailers full of clothing and supplies for the Pastors in the Baja California area and their churches. La Posada also donated a Surburban to a Pastor Benito from the coast of Bahia Tortuga. We came back on Friday blessed!

Update

Hi again and blessings to everyone!

After having CCM youth leave we got prepared for CC San Mateo and first timers, CC Fremont.  They were to arrive on Sunday, which we waited, but because of the amount of supplies they had they were not allowed to come into Mexico.  Some of the supplies were used bunkbeds with mattresses, bedroom furniture, dishes that were donated from a university, and a lot of clothes and shoes which were all in a big U-haul rental truck (not allowed to come in without a permit).  So what happened was that they had to rent two 10x10 storages and put most of the supplies there and on Monday they came over.

So unfortunetly due to all off this and time that they came across on Monday as well as being very tired we lost about 1 1/2 day of ministering.   But that was okay because we knew that God was in control  and He allowed all of this to happen.  So our week started on Tuesday :)  We went to the orphanage all day and served food, made a craft with the children, played and loved them with hugs and kisses.

Wednesday the group wanted to go to a Christian Discipleship Center where there 22 men.  The group had a bible study for them, served them food, some did testimonies for the men, they saw the animals and had time to fellowship with them.  It was a blessing because this center was praying for mattresses that they needed and we found out and so we took them 12 mattresses that the group brought over.  We are going to take the bunkbeds later.  So praise God for their aswered prayer and for God provisions.

On September 12th - 14th we had three groups together (CC Orange, La Semilla and CC Pasadena) here at La Posada.  We were busy but it was such a great blessing as everyone did something different.

Here at La Posada we had the group CC Pasadena over for their medical outreach which included a chiropractor, a massage therapist, nurses, a pediatric doctor, a general doctor, three dentists, a pharmacy and an area where they gave out hygene products. The group also did a concert throughout the day as well as fed everyone.  There was also a puppet show, balloons and face painting for the children.  We think there were about 300-400 people who came to see a doctor.  Many people had their teeth pulled out, fillings, or teeth cleaning.  This was such a blessing for the local community.  Victor and I took advantage and also had out back adjusted and was seen by the message therapists.

La Semilla also was here and they participated in Colonia Hacienda, San Martin as the men put in kitchen cabinets in a house as well as blinds in all the windows.  The women went to two orphanages with CC Oranage.  The first orphanage they went to was City of Angeles and Tribu de Jesus as they fed the children in both orphanages.  They also did a craft of painting white t-shirts which they reallly enjoyed.

As we are finishing up our summer season, we have been so blessed as we were able to serve our Lord along side our many friends from different churches.  We were also blessed as we made a lot of new friends with the many groups that were first timers to La Posada.

Please continue to pray for us:
*** As we ask God for His vision in continual guidence with the groups.
*** For our Lord to continue to open doors of opportunity to serve Him and reach out the Mexican Community.
*** For the children in the orphanages and the people of Mexico, to open their heart to receive our Lord Jesus Christ.
*** (personal) For our children and grand children and for us.

Thank you and God Bless.

Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again:  Rejoice!.

CC Harbor, Washington

Hi Everyone
This year so far, we have had the blessing of hosting six new groups to serve in Mexico and stay with us at La Psoada.  One of the groups  was CC Harbor, Washington. A group of 13 came down as we picked them up Monday,  August 11th at the San Diego Airport. And as a new group, we are always excited to see the enthusiam, fire and readiness to serve our Lord.

Tuesday we took the group to and orphanage Tribu de Jesus and played with the children, hugged them, and loved on them.

I did a small bible study of the two fishes, five loaves and the awesomeness of God's provisions for his family.  The children
did a craft with the group and they really enjoy it.

Wednesday the group stayed here at LP making more beds for the orphanage.  So a busy day of work for the group, but much was accomplished.  Praise God!!!

Cumbai Indian ReservationThursday we headed out early to  the Cumbuai Indians Reservation to do an outreach.  It took us about 1.5- 2 hours to get there. We usually try to visit the Cumbuai Indians around 2-3 times a year, but this year this is our first trip.  Going to the Cumbuai, you need to travel up, up and up into the mountains, but the site in beautiful and enjoyable.  Going up to the Cumbuai, you dont pass any villages or towns so these people are very much in solitude.  With that in mind, we always try to make sure to take food, clothing, shoes, blankets, personal hygene etc.  Whatever our Lord provides.

So God blessed these people with a lot of food that Victor and I picked up from our church CC Montebello a week prior.  We made food packagesfor each family which included: rice, beans, milk, tomatoe sause, spagetti sauce, hot sauce and items for the kitchen like detergent, soap and many other itmes.  To those who help out at DoveTail ministries, thank you!!!  Your time blesses so many.

At the outreach, the group did an drama, sang worship, gave a message and fed everyone. The menu included hot dogs, hamburgers, carne asada, tortillas, corn, cookies and drinks.   Later we raffled five new bicyles which were donated and several soccer balls.  We had fun doing the raffle and seeing the excited faces of the children's and they waited axiously to hear their number on their tickets and then winning. We took a picture of all who won the bicyles and the soccar balls.

Friday the group went to visit another orphanage called Agua Viva, which means living water.  The group was blessed to have another opportunity to play with the children, do crafts with them, love them, fed them and hug them.

On Saturday we took the group to the airport, but before they wanted to stop at In-n-Out for lunch.  Many groups don't have In-n-Out in their city so when they come down to San Diego, they know it's the place to go! The group left on Saturday with much joy and blessing from the Lord.  We had a wonderful time with this group. God is good and His mercy endures forever!!! Hebrews 6:10

In His grace,
Victor and Sonia Mayoral

CC Valley, Las Vegas & Harvest Christian Fellowship, Riverside

Hi Everyone!

We were blessed to have with us a new group, Calvary Chapel Valley, Las Vegas. Even though there were only 13 of them (mostly college students with 2 high schoolers), they were all filled with readiness to serve our Lord.

The group served at the orphanage for the Tribe of Jesus and their new facility which they moved into 2 days prior to the group's arrival. So what a blessing and God's perfect timing to have this group come down and help with the needs of this orphanage.

Some of the group helped with organizing and putting things in place at the new facility, some folded a lot of clothes and helped put those in their new place. Some of the group did a vacation bible school (VBS) program with the children and some did preparation of food for the children while a couple of brothers performed electrical work and put on shade tarps for the children at their food area.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the group helped with the bunk bed project for this orphanage (Tribe of Jesus). They worked here at La Posada sanding, staining and cutting the wood to their particular size. These beds that are going to be built will be over 12-feet tall. The group helped us make 5 out of the 20 that are going to be made.

The group left on Friday morning. We were blessed to have them come down and the College and High school pastor is looking forward to going back and share the blessing that our Lord did through them and bring back a bigger group next year. This is a picture of the CC Valley, Las Vegas group.

On another note, Ana, Marysol's daughter had her 16th birthday here with us and so we invited here to dinner with the family. We had a wonderful time of fellowship.

We were also blessed to have our grandaughters visit us along with my niece and for the first time we had all three grandchildren together for one 1 week.  So we took them to Peter Piper Pizza and we all had a fun time.

On Saturday we received Harvest Christian Fellowship, Riverside. They invited 3 different orphanages to the beach, so we took a big bus with one orphanage and we all headed out to a time of fun. The group had prepared activities with the kids while most of them went swimming, played ball, and worshipped. Everyone feasted on hot dogs, popcorn, fruit, and drinks. They departed back home on Sunday morning.

We were able to take our grandkids and niece to the beach with the group.

Here is Ana with Makayla.                                       Here is Victor, Elijah, Celest, Makayla, and Michelle.

Me with Makayla and Elijah.

Our grandkids having fun with the sand!                 Sebastian also having fun with the group and kids!!!!!

At Sunday Service, Victor dedicated a baby and prayed for Javier and his family who now is moving on to dedicate his service at Hacienda San Martin where he will serve as a local missionary under La Semilla Ministries, Santa Ana, Pastor Gerson.

So with all of this we give all the glory to our Lord for such a wonderful week with the different groups and for allowing us to spend time with our grandkids. He is awsome!!!!

Love you all!

In Him,

Victor & Sonia

CC Boston

GOOD MORNING,

We just had CC Boston leave us :( They left at 8:30 am on a really nice big bus. We had a wonderful time serving our Lord with them, busy, fruitful, fellowship and many blessings.

They arrived on Saturday and met up with Victor at Costco. While some of us were shopping for the week long trip (their food, outreaches, V.B.S and orphanage food) some of them headed to the boarder. As they crossed into Mexico, Daniel was waiting for them with the bus and took them back to LP. We did take about 2 hours shopping and you can imagine with a purchase of $1,800.00 dollars.  They bought a lot!!! So finally Victor headed home with the rest of the group. Arriving LP we unloaded and headed out to take them to Tacos.

SUNDAY: After Pastor Scott did the service, we took the group and they headed to the beach, "La Mission". We stood there several hours while some went swimming, did horse back riding, hairs were braded, some ate cocos and some just got sun. Daniel drove the bus and Victor and I took the small motor home and actually I took a 1 hours nap, which felt soooo good as we had wonderful weather and a wonderful breeze coming into the motor home. In the evening, we went out into groups and passed out V.B.S flyers.

MONDAY: We started our Mission week with all day construction at Sergio's house. The group did drywall, texturing, painting, and reframing. Alot of progress was done. The group also did alot of playing with the children around the area.

TUESDAY: The V.B.S program began on Tuesday and lasted 3 days (Tuesday - Thursday). We had 4 different groups going on (bible study, crafts, music, and games) The children had so much fun and after lunch was served for everyone. Also while the V.B.S program was going on, the construction project was also going on from Monday - Thursday which a small group would rotate to go every day.

Also from Tuesday - Thursday we also had a small group do some painting here at LP, which was part of the front gates, the outside of La Posada building, all around and some cleaning. So everyone was made sure they were kept busy.

On Tuesday after the V.B.S , around 2:00pm we went to Valle de Guadalupe and visited the youth orphanage. We had fellowship with the youth there, some gave testimonies, Greg did a Bible message. Soccer games were going on and we made hamburgers, chips, corn and cupcakes for everyone. The group also did manicures and had messages for the girls as well as the leaders. They really enjoyed this. We left the orphanage around 7:00 pm and arrived back to LP around 9:00 pm. A wonderful full day with a lot of blessing!

THURSDAY: After V.B.S we took the group to a pass out flyers for the outreach on Friday to three different colonias (Col. Cumbres de Rosarito, Los Ramos, and Colina del Sol). So we made sure that the group covered a pretty big area fo the outreach. After passing out the flyers we took them to visit some chidlren at a orphanage in La Gloria. The group did alot of playing with them, we took different crafts to do with them and after we served them ice cream cones to everyone. The group did not want to leave, but the children at the orphanage had to get ready for church service.

FRIDAY: This was the day for the big outreach, but before we had the group do cleaning. So a lot of the guys washed the bus, motor home, and all the cars, while some did cleaning at the children ministry, and doing other chores around the place.

After at 11:30 we all headed out to the orphange and everyone got busy as we began the games boths, food preperation, face painting, and balloons. Then Greg did the bible and another sister did the Bible study for the children. After we handed out the food as well as the Lord provided clothes for everyone. WE had a wonderful turnout as I believe 400 people came out for this event. So Jessica, John and Derek left us and we were blessed to have them serve with us. They shared how the Lord taught the many things like patience, perseverance, servanthood, obedience and the love of Jesus. We also saw a spiritual growth in them.

Another blessed week from the Lord. Also Marysol and daughters have been a great blessig serving with us.

Love ya all,
Victor & Sonia
