Marriage Covenant Fellowship - September 11 (6:00p.m.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTABLES UNDERSTANDING MARRIAGE SERIES - For each Sunday during the month of September, we will engage the topic of Marriage. The institution of marriage has been fiercely attacked like never before. Equip your union with the knowledge God intended as you begin understanding your roles in Christian marriage. Please join Pastor Pancho and some very special friends of CCM as they share a Biblical perspective on understanding marriage. MILITARY CHRISTMAS IN JULY - We must never forget the countless lives of those who sacrificed their own personal freedoms so that we may enjoy ours. If you have a loved one serving in the military on active duty in Afghanistan Iraq, or harm’s way sign them up to receive a Christmas care package to bring a little bit of “home” to our military. We are also receiving donations of items for care packages. If God is leading you to participate, please stop by our table in Building 2 Overflow. PROJECT PRAYER FLAG SEPTEMBER 11TH EVENT - Come on out and support the troops! Project Prayer Flag, in conjuction with CCM, will host a packaging party with many other Southern California military supporters. We will be packaging American Pocket Flags & Thank You cards for our U.S. Troops serving in Afghanistan. The event will take place from 11:00a.m. - 5:00p.m. here at CCM. Free hamburgers, hot dogs, snacks, and soft drinks. For more information, please visit www.projectprayerflag.org. RISE & SHINE SENIOR BREAKFAST - Our next senior breakfast will take place Friday, September 24th at 8:30a.m. here at CCM. We invite anyone 50 years and older to come out and join us for a time of worship, breakfast, and the Word of God. If you are within this age group, please come out and join us...and bring a friend! This is a FREE event, but we ask that you please sign up at the Info Center. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE CHAPEL STORE - Help is needed in the Chapel Store on Wednesday evenings and Sunday after 4th service. Volunteers with computer graphics expertise are needed to bless the body of CCM. This ministry is devoted to helping families work through, express, grieve, and talk openly (and even encourage each other) about the loss of their loved one, all in a place that is Christ centered. We meet every Thursday from 7:00 - 8:30p.m. Due to confidentially, please call the CCM Office at 323-724-8464 for more information. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHILDREN'S MINISTRY KID'S CAMP PARENT MEETING SUNDAY! - Attention parents: If you have a child attending this year’s camp, please attend the MANDATORY MEETING today, August 8th following the 4th Service in the Education Center Worship Area. All balances and waivers will be due at that time. Cost is $195.00 for 5th-6th graders & $165.00 for kids 3rd-4th grades. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CIRCLE OF HOPE CANCER SUPPORT GROUP - A time of prayer and encouragement for all those touched by cancer. Family and friends are welcomed to attend. Our next meeting is Thursday, September 16th at 7:00p.m. We meet every 3rd Thursday of the month. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CONVALESCENT MINISTRY HELP SHARE GOD'S LOVE - Help us bring the gospel to those in convalescent care in the Montebello area every third & fourth Saturday of each month. For more info, sign up at the Info Center. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CULTURE CLUB WEST SIDE STORY - The Jets and the Sharks are coming to the Pantages Theater! Join the Culture Club as we take the Metro Line as a group to Downtown. There are a limited amount of tickets to see the greatest love-story from Broadway! Tickets go on sale in September but mark your calendars for Saturday, December 4th. Cost per ticket is $40.00. Check back here for updated information! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FAMILY MINISTRY FATHER AND DAUGHTER LUNCHEON - Fathers, invite your daughters to a buffet (all you can eat) luncheon at Knotts Berry Farm as we seek the Truth together with an undivided heart on Saturday, September 18th from 11:00a.m. - 3:00p.m. Guest speaker will be Jeff Stewart, CC Pomona Valley. Sign up at the Info Center. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FMO: MEN'S MINISTRY MEAT & MESSAGE - It’s time for our monthly gathering for food, fellowship, and spiritual encouragement on Monday, September 13th. Special guest speaker this month will be Pastor Bill Buffington, CC Downey. Worship will be lead by The Gutierrez Brothers. The main event begins at 7:00p.m. and dinner will be served at 5:45p.m. There is a $5.00 charge for dinner, so sign up early as we can only accommodate the first 150 sign ups. FMO MONDAY NIGHTS - Nehemiah: “The Courage To Face Opposition” - We may never confront our enemies in war, however, we can learn from Nehemiah’s courage and faith as we struggle as men with the world and it’s values. Join us on Monday Nights at 7:00p.m. here at CCM in the Sanctuary for a time of worship and study. This will be a 12-week study and workbook is available at the Chapel Store. First meeting is August 2nd.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FOUNDATIONS OF THE FAITH BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES CLASS - Join us every Thursday at 7:00p.m. as we examine Biblically-based Christian principles and will cover 10 great doctrines of the Bible during a 5 week span. Being that this class is on a continual rotation, start off on any Thursday you want, come for 5 weeks, and you will have completed the class! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE QUENCH SUBSTANCE DEPENDENCY SUPPORT GROUP - The Quench Ministry invites you to attend our support group for men and women. The Quench is a support group of Bible-believing Christians who's desire is to minister to substance dependent individuals and their families. We meet every other Friday beginning this Friday, September 10th. Our meeting include fellowship, worship, prayer, and devotional at 6:30p.m. HANNAH'S HEART - Do you suffer from infertility issues? Have you and your husband been trying to have children, but are not able to? Ladies, please attend our next meeting on Saturday, September 11th from 9:00 - 11:00a.m. here at CCM. WOMEN'S RETREAT 2011 - Sign ups for "The Rock" CCM's Women's Retreat held February 25 - 27th begin August 15th at the Women's Info Center. Cost is $167.00 plus a $10.00 refundable key deposit. Signed contracts include $10.00 key deposit with 4 monthly payments of $35.00 and a final payment of $37.00. The retreat will be held at the beautiful Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta Hot Springs. WOMEN'S SUPPORT GROUP - Are you depressed due to marital, familial, or financial problems? Are you in need of Biblical advice? Do you need someone to stand in agreement with you in prayer? Come to the Women’s Support Group. Meetings are held Mondays from 6:30 - 9:00p.m. here at CCM, in both English and Spanish. WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY - Ladies, it's time for our women's Bible Study.
